excuse me for playing by tourney rules i pick fd because of all stages thats the only 1 without hazards and also battlefield. and lol bruce i used lucas didnt i? and i still won. besides i dont use marth online too laggy for me 2 use him. and i dont use items at all. if i see em i just toss'em out of the stage. and if ppl get 2 abusive with em they leave me no choice. using items with hazardus stages is just playing cheezy. but overrall the brawl was good gnight and have a pleasant tomorrow

Actually, its kinda the essence of the game, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered to put them in. You aren't a pro until you can play on said hazard stages, and win, every time. Besides, once you play on FD so much, it gets boring. Even the people at my local tourney have come to this conclusion and readmitted a bunch of the old stages.

Besides, FD isn't without it's hazards; the lip on the edge of the stage can fuck you big time.

I'd agree with u Crono if there were skill involved with the random probability of items and stage hazards, theres some but u can't counter everything or keep yourself from dieing with a low damage percentage every time with such randomness.

Exactly. The game is based on variety and survival. Not straight up one on one all the time. If I wanted that I would just play mugen or some other fighter and not Super Smash Bros.

its the hazards that make the game fun, its the crazy items that make it awesome.

lol chrono Ive played these guys yesterday with the stages they picked and i still won and most of the stages they picked are hazardus. and another thing why i dont pick items its because of the greedyness these guys get you see a smash ball while im fighting some of the guys they all go for it and thats the biggest mistake they can make since they are all wide open for a smash. and I picked them off easy. trust me guys Ive played this game competetively and ive played in the nationals tryouts. and every year the rules remain. sure sometimes they allow straight up 4 player royal rumble to finish up quickly but all items are still off. y? heres an example:

all 4 people are brawling at the pickmin stage. 3 of them have been beating each other badly while the other guys hasnt done much except wait for a chance to back stab someone and then go away to safe. then the smash ball appears the same dude goes and get it. he goes straight to the brawl and uses it to smash everyone out. now tell me is that skill? no! it is not that is just playing cheezy and thats why I dont play with items nor does any other pro that play competetively. if you guys dont like it then tough luck for you.

and another thing if you guys are whine about my set of characters then im sorry to tell you but thats just my set you cant make me use characters i dont like. and with all the lag thats going on you expect me to use one of my fast characters on it? sorry no.

Now im gonna drop this conversation here if you guys are gonna flame me because of this thats just fine but I wont care nor listen. im just gonna keep brawling with the people here if you dont like how i play then go find someone else.

Thats how I feel about items, I'm too overly competitive to rely on something random to happen. I like to be calculated. That and Final Smashes are grossly unbalanced with each other.
